This Saturday, IU travels to Happy Valley to face Penn State. IU will be looking to rebound after an embarrassing loss to Wisconsin.
The Hoosiers still have a chance at making a bowl game, but they will have to win this week. This is no small task, IU has never beaten Penn State, losing all 15 meetings.
Despite being ineligible for the post season and having scholarships taken away, Penn State has had a very solid season. The Nittany Lions are 6-4 (4-2). They are coming off a 32-23 loss to #16 Nebraska.
Quarterback Matt McGloin decided to stay at Penn State rather than transfer and has had a good year. He's completed 60 percent of his passes for 2,676 yards and 19 touchdowns and just four interceptions.
Wideout Allen Robinson has been McGloin's favorite target. The sophomore had 63 receptions for 786 yards and eight touchdowns.
IU will finally be facing a team with a balanced offense, which doesn't bode well for the beat up Hoosier defense. IU has struggled at just about every phase of defense this season.
Penn State also has a solid defense, if the Hoosiers can't get into a rhythm on offense, it will be another long day for IU fans.
Here is what coach Kevin Wilson had to say about the game at his weekly press conference:
We'll have more up on this game later in the week.
