IU once again rolled past it's opponent. The Hoosiers (3-0) were able to maintain at least a 30 point lead for the entire half en route to a 99-45 win over Sam Houston State (1-2).
The Hoosiers shot a blistering 57 percent from the field, including 44 percent from the three point line. They out rebounded the Bearkats 38-17.
They were especially tough on defense, forcing 17 turnovers and holding Sam Houston State to 33 percent shooting.
Christian Watford came off the bench for the Hoosiers tonight to lead the team with 23 points. He also had six rebounds, two steals, and a block.
Four starters for IU ended the game in double digits. Will Sheehey, who started in place of Watford, had 18 points. Victor Oladipo had 14 points, seven rebounds, and four steals.
Cody Zeller had a solid night with 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks. Yogi Ferrell bounced back a bit to have seven assists.
Jordan Hulls entered the 1,000 point club at IU. Hulls hit a three pointer late in the game to hit his 1,000 career point and coach Tom Crean took a timeout to acknowledge his accomplish to thunderous applause. The senior finished with ten points, five rebounds, and five assists.
