IU overcame a slow start to rout Ball State 101-53. The No. 1 Hoosiers covered the 27.5 point spread in the first 12 minutes of the game.
The Hoosiers could have been caught in a trap game with No. 9 North Carolina coming to town on Tuesday, but coach Tom Crean would have none of that.
Five Hoosiers finished the game with double-digit points.
Will Sheehey came off the bench to lead all scorers with 19 points off 8-of-9 shooting. He also had six rebounds.
Cody Zeller had 15 points and eight rebounds. Christian Watford had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Victor Oladipo continued his tough defense with three steals and a block. Oladipo also had 13 points.
Jordan Hulls brought his game back with him from Brooklyn. The senior connected on 7-of-10 field goals and finished with 17 points.
The Hoosiers shot 60 percent from the field and controlled the game all night. Ball State never really had a chance to compete, and were beyond beaten with eight minutes left in the first half.
IU will spend Monday getting ready for North Carolina on Tuesday night as part of the ACC-Big Ten Challenge.
We'll have a preview of that game up tomorrow afternoon. Don't forget to follow us on twitter @hoosiers101.
