Today is National Signing Day where college seniors all over the country will sign their national letters of intent and send them in to their prospective schools.
ESPN has been covering the event all day long, but its unlikely that IU will show up on the broadcast. Coach Kevin Wilson has quietly put together a very solid class that could have an impact from day one.
The entire class has already signed and the IU athletic office has posted this extensive round-up. IU signed 22 of the 23 recruits that they had targeted.
According to Rivals.com, IU has the fifth best class in the Big Ten and the 41st best in the nation. Not to bad for a basketball school.
ESPN see's this class a little differently and has IU ranked 67th in the nation. This is merely just a difference between how ESPN and Rivals has evaluated the recruits. I tend to side with Rivals as they tend to do a more through job evaluating players.
We will take a more extensive look at the Class of 2013 in the future. For now, we will continue to focus on basketball and the No. 1 ranked team in the nation.
